Family Counselling

Family counselling brings family members together for a series of group conversations with one of Homewood Counselling Centre’s counsellors or other healthcare professionals. The goal is to identity the key issues putting pressure on the family and to identify ways for the family to function in the most effective and healthy ways possible. These sessions are designed to be friendly, inclusive and non-judgmental so that every member of the family feels like a valued and valuable part of the process. Family counselling typically addresses topics such as dealing with crisis or conflict, making decisions and dealing with dishonesty. Occasionally, one or more members of the family group may also seek individual treatment for issues that exist outside of the family unit, such as addiction or other personal mental health conditions.
